Very positive atmosphere. They smiled and greeted me. The server was friendly and the food was great. The manager introduced herself and was very helpful with the menu. I will be back. They even got a nice drink menu.
We was greeted as soon as we walked in she had a smell in my face also. The customer service we received was excellent. We was in a party with eight people they took our drink orders then came back properly and took her meal order. The food came out hot in season very well.
Long Island native here, and this is the best Italian food I've had outside of NY. The garlic knots smack, and the pizza smacks harder! The chicken Parm hero pops with flavor! You call it a sub in the south but on li it's a hero. The only thing this spot is missing is zeppollis! I don't eat out often but this is definitely a go to.
Tldr; will ABSOLUTELY be coming back. Came in on a quiet Thanksgiving evening. Greeter was personable and welcoming. Our server, Hope, was very endearing. Our food came out quick and tasted divine. The garlic knots are as good as they look. Good music was played at a reasonable noise level. Price was very reasonable.
We were greeted instantly and sat down to a very clean booth quickly on a Saturday. My wife ordered Penne Ala Vodka with blackened chicken and I had the signature bbq chicken ranch pizza. All of the food arrived hot and fast! Delicious pasta with roasted garlic, very flavorful sauce and perfect al dente’ pasta. (Garlic bread was on point too.) The blackened chicken wasn’t dry and seasoned perfectly! Had a Cajun flair. My BBQ pizza had a great ranch flavor with their own house ranch and the bacon and red onions complemented it well. Perfectly cooked crust. The service was great also. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have an excellent meal, service and fair price.
Ashley (at the bar) is awesome! She greeted me with a warm hello the moment I walked in the door. And throughout my time sitting at the bar, she engaged me in kind conversation and took great care of me. I’ve had the food here several times before and am always happy with how delicious the food is. Ashley’s kind attentive service made the experience all the better! Thanks Ashley!
Julia was very nice. Every Hawthornes is always great and we go to several of them. Never a bad meal. We got great service and awesome drinks.
Great pizza. I'm a person who doesn't eat a lot because of a stroke two years ago. So I like their 9" pizza (Elizabeth Special, 13). I lived outside Newark, NJ the last 6 months and it rivals the best pizza places there.
